Classification of reflective film grades: reflective film grades are divided into: high-strength grade, engineering grade.
High-strength reflective film
The performance of this series of reflective film belongs to the third-level reflective film of the JT-T279-1995 standard issued by the Ministry of Communications of the People's Republic of China. The high-strength reflective film is a durable sealed reflective film, which is at least three times brighter than the engineering-grade reflective film. The material has been successfully used to make traffic signs. Even if the sign is at a large angle and in a bright area, the high-strength reflective film makes the sign clearly visible, effectively warning the driver of the dangerous situation on the road ahead. High-strength reflective film is suitable for general road traffic signs, that is, the usual highways, first-class, second-class, third-class, fourth-class roads and signs for temporary use. It is generally divided into two types: pressure-sensitive and heat-sensitive. Using the same type of ink, various patterns can be produced by screen printing technology. Uses: Guidance signs; prohibition signs, warning signs and instruction signs and signs for general advertising use. Lifespan: Generally 10 years. Under normal use conditions, the brightness retention value of this series of reflective films after 10 years is at least 80% of the initial brightness value. Applicable bottom plate: aluminum plate, steel plate. Operating temperature: Generally, it is required to be between 18°C and 28°C.
Engineering grade reflective film
The performance of this series of reflective film belongs to the fourth-level reflective film of the JT-T279-1995 standard issued by the Ministry of Communications of the People's Republic of China. It is a durable enclosed reflective film. The material has been used successfully for traffic signs since the early 1950s. At present, in areas with small traffic flow and low-speed driving of motor vehicles, engineering-grade reflective film still has certain applications. Engineering-grade reflective film is suitable for traffic signs on general roads, that is, the usual first-class, second-class, third-class, fourth-class roads and signs for temporary use. It is generally divided into two types: pressure-sensitive and heat-sensitive. Using the same type of ink, various patterns can be produced by screen printing technology. Uses: Guidance signs; prohibition signs, warning signs and instruction signs and signs for general advertising use. Lifespan: generally 3 to 7 years, depending on the manufacturer. Some manufacturers only provide reflective film for 7 years, and the brightness retention value after 7 years is at least 50% of the initial brightness value. Some manufacturers provide reflective film for 3, 5, and 7 years. Applicable bottom plate: aluminum plate, steel plate. Operating temperature: Generally, it is required to be between 18°C and 28°C.
