Commonly used road traffic reflective films are mainly divided into five grades, which correspond to: Class I reflective film, Class II reflective film, Class III reflective film, Class IV reflective film, and Class V reflective film. Each level corresponds to different standards, and the reflectivity and service life of different standard reflective films are different.
Class I reflective film: Class I reflective film is also known as engineering-grade reflective film. The national standard document specifies that the reflective coefficient of Class I reflective film shall not be less than 70 lights, and the outdoor weather resistance is 7 years. The first-class engineering-grade reflective film is divided into two types: glass microbead structure and micro diamond mirror structure.
Type II reflective film: Type II reflective film is also known as super engineering grade reflective film, and the outdoor weather resistance is 7-10 years. The reflection coefficient is not less than 140 light, and the product is a micro-diamond mirror reflective structure. The usage scenarios are: national and provincial road traffic signs, all kinds of permanent traffic signs. And all kinds of transportation facilities products.
Type III reflective film: Type 3 reflective film is also known as high-strength reflective film, outdoor weather resistance is 7-10 years. The standard of reflection coefficient is not less than 250 light, and the product is a micro-rhombic mirror structure. The usage scenarios are: national and provincial road traffic signs, municipal traffic signs and various traffic safety products.
Type IV reflective film: The four types of reflective film are also known as super reflective film in the industry. The outdoor weather resistance is 10 years. The reflection coefficient of the product is not less than 360 light, and the product is a micro diamond mirror structure. Commonly used in municipal traffic signs, high-speed traffic sign bottom molds and various high-end traffic facilities products,
Type V reflective film: The five types of reflective film are also called diamond grade reflective film. The outdoor weather resistance of diamond grade reflective film is 10-12 years, and the reflective coefficient of the product is not less than 580 light. The reflective structure is divided into two types: micro diamond mirror and full diamond mirror. Mainly used for high-speed traffic signs and various high-end traffic facilities products. At present, the five types of reflective films produced in China are rarely used, mainly imported products.
There are mainly two assessment criteria for the grade of reflective film, namely service life and reflectivity, as well as requirements for adhesion performance and color value.
